A Tile Generator set to a small size-0.02 or something close > flood fill to random grayscale and gradient. Distance those 2, edge detect and flood fill to random color again for the final result.

Only reason I can ever, ever see anyone preferring Archie's reboot era to its pre-reboot era is because they think it being more like the games is a good thing by itself, because when actually looking at its substance, it lacks any by comparison, much like IDW imo.
