So it was pointed out to me that during mirror matches in Sonic the Fighters do not have greyscale cards in the pre-matchup graphics. Someone saw this in the Gamecube ver via hacking (left) and I reimplemented it in the right. While this isn't new news, I've never pointed it out.

where images are edited on the pixel level. The aesthetic for this kind of graphics comes from 8-bit and 16-bit computers and video game consoles, in addition to other limited systems such as graphing calculators.
