I was working on some mushroom concepts the last days - Here the first one. The designs are pretty rough, but thats how you do it, when you do concepts in 3D. Throwing out ideas and turn it into something you can 'maybe' use later.

I just think about how Sonic has roots in classic cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, which were pretty much -all- expression. An argument could be made that this is all 2D art, which is fair. But it's not impossible to translate this to 3D.
