I never read the panel as Goku thinking Freeza deserved any manner of mercy, or that he was saddened that he had to kill him given the lead up to it.

He gave Freeza the same ultimatum he gave Black and Nappa and it amounted to the same outcome. Hence the disappointed look.

I tried my best to edit her, cause I’m still disappointed she isn’t dark. Like they literally lightened her hair just to make the lighter skin color work, when they could’ve just made her skin dark in the first place.
