I read this to my class today and we had such a wonderful discussion about fairness and equality. I've just had an email from a parent saying their child came home enthusiastically discussing the suffragette movement. It has genuinely made my day!
#girlswithswords #Swordtember Babes with swords make me happy 🗡️⚔️🗡️Also inspired by the #witcherlass movement. Thurid & Allanah are both my OCs. <3
it's insane how well the 3D character model and shadows and lighting blends in with the 2D images. And it still feels like 3D movement. This really is an amazing achievement of what you can do with prerendered backgrounds.
In her final decades her work dissolved into sparkling light. These are high points of the Impressionist movement. She differs from Cassatt in being more open & experimental. The Port of Nice (1882 & 1882), Beside a Lake (1883) & Manet & his Daughter in the Garden (1883)

Italian painter and engraver Giovanni Fattori was born #OnThisDay 1825. He is considered one of the greatest Italian painters of the 19th century and one of the main exponents of the #Macchiaioli movement.

One of my biggest inspirations on Maya’s magical character designs has been Jorge González Camarena (1908-1980) who was a Mexican painter, muralist and sculptor. He is best known for his mural work, as part of the Mexican muralism movement. Check out his work!
