The painting skill is great. And since you want advice for design, I made some modifications here: 1) removed all 1:1 proportion elements; 2) added rhythm of size to different body parts; 3) removed obvious patterns; 4) put highest contrast above chest.

See the decorative patterns on domical ceiling. It is same as you would see in Hoyasala temples. But here it rests on ornate 'Pushpa-Torana'. Columns are of 'BrahmaKanta' class with 'Vajra-Padma' base.
