I'm trying to make a 3x3 autotileset. I wanted to ask, is it possible to make the individual tiles stick out of their grid space like this? In the example, the corner tiles stick out of their grid space a bit to make the ground look more organic. Is this possible?

It's pretty quick to create something nice! I've simplified the tilesets quite a bit, while still letting you create unique buildings. Plus added autotiles for land, trees, dirt, paths, rivers, clouds etc. Not too far off being finished!

✅ Godot needs specific formats for autotiles.
✅ RPGMaker has different resolutions / tilesets constrains depending of its version.
✅ Unity requires to configure a tile palette & pixel perfect camera

you actually CAN do animated tiles, they just can't be part of the tileset image itself, they have to be a seperate resource you like... add to the tileset? been a minute

as for tile ids, i'm not sure-- i had to work with autotile ids though before, which i imagine is...similar?

4 of my tilesets are now 100% RPG Maker VX Ace compatible (complete with autotiles!). Train Station, Forest Graveyard, Kanagawa and Bakery! I'm working on converting my Osaka tileset next. You can find them here: https://t.co/dpCQwy0e3d

Random tileset test. Don't know if I'll use this tileset for something tbh. I really like the result tho. My head is full of concepts lately: I hope I'll manage to develop them in the future
Credits to for the water autotile!

I just use this pretty simple pattern with the autotile feature in Gamemaker to make sprites

Today's fun project: 3D tilemaps! Got autotiles, tilesets, data serialization, runtime construction, and a neat editor tool down. Still a ways to go, but I'm excited to use this for ¿something? 🙃

Not much to show from recently other than going back and adding my tiles to the project. Next stop I need to draw an autotile system.

That's something I've wanted to try for a while!
