Half-Life turned 21 years old yesterday. Also released on the same day two years later was GoldSrc game Gunman Chronicles, now 19 years old, released November 19 2000.
Goldsrc, Source, Xash3D all have a 128 bone limit per model. Its a arbitrary limit as you can increase it to 256 for Source, and most likely Goldsrc with engine access.
I'd love to increase it to 256 for Xash but I don't have a source code to the mdl viewer or studiomdl,exe
