There's this comic Valerian in France, it influenced sci-fi as we know today but specially SW. Valerian has a relationship with this agent called Laureline. Funny enough this wasnt a real name before, but people started to call their kids Laureline after the comic

The Valerian movie was a fine sci-fi movie, nothing groundbreaking. The only real sin I see in it is how poorly they treated Laureline in both the writing and the casting.
