I recently bumped into an article from DAWN where I came across a picture of two hippies in Peshawar, Pakistan (reference on the right). It also said “Pakistan was an important destination that lay on what was called the ‘hippie trail’ (1/2)

'The Battle of Peshawar' took place on May 8, 1758, between the Marathas and Durrani Empire.
The Marathas, led by Raghunathrao (younger brother of Nanasaheb Peshwa) and Malharrao Holkar were victorious in the battle, and Peshawar was captured.
