Just watching ’s film of the American Cemetery at Normandy and recognised the name Elmere P. Wright he mentions. I illustrated him a few years ago, he played baseball a few hundred yards from my F-i-L’s house in Plymouth. Might be of interest to you .

The superstition around black cats crossing your path on Halloween stems from the Puritan Pilgrims of Plymouth. Puritans believed Witches could transform into black cats and back, hence the inspiration for characters like Binx from Hocus Pocus!

Currently watching a pair of Harlequin ducks north of Manomet Point in Plymouth. They’re tough to see since they’re constantly diving or hiding behind the waves but thanks to the zoom on my Canon SX60 I was able to show few people that were unable to spot them.

We've been assessing some of the textiles from our decorative art collection ready for display in our 'Our Art' gallery We worked with a specialist who brought in several styles of mannequins to suit different shapes, styles and periods of costume.
