It was like that in the manga too, before the beginning of the next chapter confirmed it was Shiggy who cut it voluntarily. Tho like I said Shiggy implies that Deku was probably capable of slicing it off with BW. Kinda to show Deku’s power, but also Shiggy’s own intelligence.

Well we know based off Nagants bullets that shiggys hands are not as durable as his skull. As the first bullet rips his hand off, but the second fails to pierce his skull. And since we know shiggys regen is the same as a high end Nomu, you have to destroy his head to kill him.

Exactly, he’s one of the fastest in the verse, but he only blitzed Shiggy for a moment, and like you said, he still died. Plus, Bakugo was analyzing Shiggys fight pattern, helping him predict the attacks, which helped him evade plus Shiggy not expecting Bakugo’s sudden power-up.

Kinda, Shiggy broke his arm but when he fought AFO he had All Mights gauntlet to help his arm. Then he broke the arm even worse during the fight to the point where the doctor mentions amputation. Even by the time he graduates it’s still wasn’t fully healed.
