Kurt Wagner’s arc is not a story about accepting oneself - he gets there almost immediately - but a much more complicated story about navigating your lack of acceptance in a society that fails to share the comfort and peace with which you view yourself. 1/6 #xmen

Doodle of the Day: Brunnhilde: The Twilight of the Gods (1894), Lithograph on paper, Odilon Redon (1840–1916). Redon produced this print based on the character from Wagner’s opera Twilight of the Gods (Götterdämmerung). He uses delicate line work in drawing out the character.

Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files Vol. 4 by John Wagner, Mike McMahon, Brian Bolland, etc. - Some real good Dredd stories here. Wagner’s at the top of his game, and these stories are also a showcase for some of the most talented British comic artists of the 80’s.
In May 1940, plans began for new FANTASIA segments that never came to be. One sequence, set to Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, was abandoned due to the music’s association with the Nazis. These sketches from artist Kay Nielsen give us an idea of what it may have looked like.
Arthur Rackham illustrated Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” in 1910-11. The entire collection can be viewed here (for you fellow Rackham fans): https://t.co/yPVvNLt31m
