this is so specific, but the line weight of 00s italian comic artists! i’ve been watching a lot of italian kids media in the past couple years and GOODNESS i’m always so impressed, especially with barbucci & canepa (artists of w.i.t.c.h and monster allergy) https://t.co/yEVcB2DIze

This! I fucking hate when they do this also because fucking Barbucci always draws his characters with big eyes but I don’t se someone saying to him that it’s manga style.

Hi! I draw since I was child, so I have no idea what my influences are! Anime and Alessandro Barbucci was my main inspirations, but I evolve into something else times ago!

Dan Mora is amazing. I also like Daniel Acuña and Stuart Immonem because these two were very prominent when I started reading Marvel Comics back in 2010. Current artists I love are Pepe Larraz, Jorge Jimenez, Carlos Gomez and Jamal Campbell. And can't forget Alessandro Barbucci.

For me it was W.I.T.C.H
Four girls with diverse backgrounds, cute outfits, and just average middle school girls really resonated with me! The art by Alessandro Barbucci really stuck with me and I find helped mold my own.

So I’m taking Barbucci’s drawing class in french with my french Canadian content manager helping with the harder parts, in case you’ve wondered what lengths I’ll go to for knowledge.

I gotta get my skills good enough to reflect what’s in my brain

French comics criminally ignored here. This is Ekho drawn by Alessandro Barbucci.

Had a bit of time to scribble today and was chuffed that Sensory Delight Latex gave me permission to reference one of their shots.

Not quite the Alessandro Barbucci style i aimed for but it was a lot of fun.

Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa. The W.i.t.c.h. comics were my childhood and when Monster Allergy was on TV something about its art style spoke to me without me connecting the dots as to why. So I guess they must have influenced my art in some shape or form ….right?

For anyone wondering, this is an excerpt from "Sky Doll" by Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa. You might recognize their art style from Disney's early 2000's comic book series "W.I.T.C.H.", of which they were the uncredited (co-)creators. 🙂 https://t.co/LNjMaGD4we

What’s a piece of trivia about your art?
The way I draw eyes is heavily influenced by W.I.T.C.H. and Alessandro Barbucci https://t.co/zktuzxUWh7
