For the murals, I obviously took inspiration from prehispanic codices but also from the best artist in this style @monarobot and their beautiful work. For the first time in a very long time my graphic designer and Adobe Illustrator skills were very handy 😅

The Codex Palatinus Germanicus 67 is a late medieval manuscript from the former Bibliotheca Palatina in Heidelberg Germany.

These were inspired by Mixtec myths of the stone people where, like in the codices, they have large eyes, sharp teeth and colorful rock-like skin. In Dream Rider their large eyes help them see underground and at night.
