My graphic design students had to re-create “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” in their own cohesive style. It’s one of Emory’s favorite books, and she was in tears laughing while we read their versions. Here’s the last page of a few.

Eric Carle (1929 – 2021) was a children's book author. He is famous for The Very Hungry Caterpillar, first published in 1969.

I'm doing an art challenge every month. For the month of December I'm looking back on the year 2021.

Who can blame this little guy for eating too much? After all, he was on a life-changing mission! (Do you remember what he ate on Friday?)

Inspiring hungry caterpillar.
RIP Eric Carle, the creator of the bestselling children’s book “A very Hungry caterpillar”.

Sharing this illustration I had made for the book I had illustrated: Curious Coco.

As kids, Eric Carle’s ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ was a visual delight that was simply delicious. As teachers, we remember the joy it gave us and share this tale again to our students. Where we can once again relive the magic 🍎🐛 RIP

The very hungry caterpillar was and is still one of my idols: eat all the food to become beautiful.
That’s a motto I‘m still living 😅
The author of this book passed away a few days ago. Rest in peace Eric Carle.
