Headcanon that wow raptors are actually megaraptorans that convergently evolved sickle claws. Would explain the lack of feathering and also the giant ass arms they usually have

🦖 Daily Dino 🦖; Yutyrannus huali

It had to be 😂 From Early Cretaceous Yixian formation of China, this tyrannosauroid is the largest known dinosaur with direct evidence of feathering. At around 9 meters long, it's also quite large for an early tyrannosaur

🦖 Daily Dino 🦖: Kulindadromeus zabaikalicus

A Jurassic ornithischian that preserves both feathers and scales, giving hard proof that the two types of integuiment could coexist in non-avian dinosaurs
It also supports the theory that feathering was ancestral to all dinosaurs

2nd piece of January, hopefully you guys like it! It's just a simple pose with the *slight* change I've made to my design. Instead of the super hard feathering I've always done around the pupils with that glowing ring, I'm just gonna be kind to myself and make it solid~💙👁️

Does Yutyrannus support the idea of a heavily feathered T.rex? No, not particularly. It was big, but still a sixth the weight of a rex and came from a much cooler environment. Sparse feathering in T.rex, maybe. But a Yutyrannus comparison isn’t strong. 1st art by

all dinosaurs had some sort of feathering, ALL OF THEM

weather it be teenie whiskers/peach fuz, it was as engrained in dinosaurs as hair is in mammals.

I finished watching season 2 on Sunday and I love (Yes, my lazy self reused a background. 🤣)

Went ahead and redesigned the fellow
Tarbosaurus is known for being smaller and lightweight compared to T. rex , so I liked the idea of making it rangy and birdlike. Admittedly I probably could’ve gone without feathering it but I always preferred tyrannosaurs with feathers

For me a wyvern usally has 2 wings,2 legs and usally has more avian features, like beaks, feathering or even the general anatomy and usally tho not always has some kind of venom or poison.

The 3 stages of wolfy's "failure" aka her not being able to do something hard right when she just started feathering the best person and my favorite person,

my go to for blending is usually duplicate -> bottom layer gaussian blur/top layer overlay while also feathering the edges of the top layer; feathered edges were just "blending for dummies"

if its good feathering but they got a few details wrong i wont notice, the feathering that bothers me tends to be like:
-patched: completely bald except few segments with full on feathers
- gorilla suit: just random long fuzz
- literally just spikes
- all of them: thanks gd
