Breakfast reading: Star Spangled War Comics (1969). There's a freedom of expression inherent in Joe Kubert's work that I find endlessly fascinating. So few comics made today look this *confident*.

enjoyed this 2 page, every a different technique, assignment. Favorite . Needs more reference but I still like this melancholy sequence.
