Day 4 - Longisquama

~ A small reptile from the Mid or Late Triassic, Longisquama is characterized by long feather-like filaments on its back. These were most likely for sexual display or just something common with the species.

Longisquama was one weird reptile. Some people thought it was an early bird ancestor, due to its weird back scales! Others believed it could fly or glide, and some even thought they were actually leaves. All of this is incorrect, for it currently is considered its own thing!

My contribution to Here a male Longisquama attempts to display to a speculatively sexually dimorphic female by flashing the huge elaborate structures on his back.

Dinovember Day 4 - Sharovipteryx Encounter

This Longisquama need not fear, for Sharovipteryx is here!

Tried something different here, and the perspective on the Longisquama actually worked which is a nice twist for me
