How good is your palaeo knowledge?
Check out the mini-quiz that we made on our Instagram stories (uni_of_adelaide_palaeos) 🦖🦕
Should we choose something flashy like Kaiwhekea or shark-toothed dolphins? What about the biggest like moa nunui South Island giant moa or smallest like a trilobite. Maybe something historically or scientifically impt, or something budding palaeos can find like a fossil mollusc?

P.s. thanks Lori for creating this post, it's great seeing all the other queer palaeos out there!

More than just #dinosaurs at @TCMIndy #Dinosphere exhibit. Here’s the #watercolor and early concept sketch I did of the prehistoric #lizard, #Palaeosaniwa for part of the Art Lab portion of the exhibit.🦎 #paleoart #squamata
A little late to the spinosaur trend as everyone has moved on to Amargasaurus, but I wanted to do a quick reconstruction of the Baryonyx from the paper. Some palaeos have brought up legitimate concerns, but it has a really cool silhouette I wanted to explore.

I've wanted to start an illustration project that combines my love of palaeoscience, illustration and scifi. It's more about visualising a very different earth to our own than scientific illustration but I want to show the cutting edge in our current understanding of the past.

A sleepy P. palaeosinensis hanging out in a tree. (Blatant artistic liberties taken). This was something I did in late 2017 that I still really like.
This was both a frustrating and rewarding paleo reconstruction to do. Coat is a little fantastical, but this was more of an exercise than a dead serious illustration. Panthera palaeosinensis is a basal member of the Panthera genus.
I wish I could sleep half as peacefully as this palaeosinensis. Going to leave it as-is, kind of a refined doodle.
