She's here! The adorable little fur monster I've been posting about on now has a face to go with the shenanigans. :)

I'd like you to meet Kivara, the Charishi kitten from my short story and upcoming novel,

2019 accelerated
into 2020's turbulence,
a sea of stills
in want of moving pictures
between us
and wanderlust.
2021 is here
and we stay
reaching
for a horizon
that is calm
and satisfying
in a normalcy
forgotten
yet remembered
somehow.

It reverberates,
this broken sleep,
an umbra pulsing,
blooming over me,
unwanted garth
raveling into
eyes dry,
precious stones
lacking September gems
and May dandelions
when wishes fly,
pounding sickness
into one's tired mind.

Crinkles
on the pond,
back and forth
before my eyes,
a screen-less door
to seamless dreams
to the nines,
purple lotuses
drift soft
with sunshine
making stars
round their petals,
until night comes
and they slip below
for sleep
and its settle.

Pristine creek
from summer days
when mud was
chocolate pie,
canteens carried
cool water
beneath
plushy cloud skies,
incipient loves
confessed
with candies
and teddy bears
clutching hearts,
now forgotten crushes
far as the stars.

Generous fire
bloomed
on the sun,
yet spoke soft
on dewy leaves
tapping, tapping
one another
with the breeze.
I had a sharp longing
for the trembling rhythm
of raindrops
and their demulcent cover
on tenor fluttered skin;
your voice
early morn.

It wasn't a question of whether it was possible, but of how far she dared go. Alice's patience was running thin, the taught E string of a violin, and a shrill scream was building inside her.

Lovely petals
tenderly
carry mouth
round gold love,
found rose
fallen deep
in perishing snow,
sun's beauty
hovering
yesterday's
cherished garden,
sweet, unfading, true
like enchanted dreams
perchance
we souls flower
unearthly.

Open the clouds
with sunflower selvedge
on days too cold,
taste the peaches
in teas
not quite bold,
fall in love
with turning song
in oceans' blues,
see the little
immortalities
where our light
is past due,
and you will have grasped
courage.

Surrendering
to promises locked
between two,
hearts held tight
and delicate
as unsure boons,
heavy
with last year's aches,
light with tomorrows,
letting looks
be the words
taking away
all sorrows;
tacenda.

2 23

Restraint
almost obsolete,
desipient for
desipient things
prominent
in making
chests
pound,
a string
of moments
only begun
but feels an eternity
in all the lovely ways:
Love.

2 13

Galaxy lips
and keys
that are her ears,
speaking sunshine
to flowers
from nowhere near,
a girl yet to be
found
to open hearts,
to water seeds
before hate imparts,
sprinkling nurture
for whole goodness'
comeback.

2 14

I was hellbent
on becoming
the me that was,
carefree
as the wind
that never visits twice,
forgetting
to look
into my own eyes
to see a warmth
of summer's dawn
still dripping
in coffee irises,
the inner me
beautiful
as the me that was.

2 12

Silently admired
pink roses
around every shell,
rays opening,
curling life
whispered
upon tomorrow's
memories
visited well,
sleep's breath
etched, kissed,
morning's ubiquity,
last sunlight
pulled, gripped,
moments
come mortality.

4 26

Stones came tumbling
in midnight rain,
amethyst reflecting
like dew
on windowpanes,
gusts aflutter
like falcons
in flight,
dancing
with my curtains,
drafts plenty
in sight,
so I curled up
in a plush comforter
& listened
to winter's sigh.

6 39

We groan
And
Against the
Young generation

Shake our heads
When they use
Their voice
Utilize their power

But why?

Are they not
Our future?
Our legacy?

Or are we so
Naive to think
We will
Live forever?

8 59

Willful gaze teased
heavens' sighs
through inspired hope,
beautiful weavings
glistening
vast, beyond
sweeping fingers,
but under
chilled realms,
lips turn,
costing deep bliss
a taste of
clear, crystalline
explorations
created.

3 38

Delicate eyes shut,
drunk on echoes,
let tresses softly rest
on snow-covered kisses
passing now,
forever closed,
arms open,
bodies still
as fruit's lingering scent,
winter's bosom
simply placed,
willing flames
to part,
end.
