I added a 'growing/shrinking' sprite to the spritesheet.

So here's that extra sprite, within the spritesheet. yaaay

Anotherday, another sprite! (oh, wait, it's isn't it?). The Bombing God Gremlin is the only grappler in the game and has a relatively limited spritesheet. However, I managed to sneak in a Baki reference or two😅

I'm happy to say that i've finished working on Charlotte's spritesheet. But after some thought, that won't be released to the public, yet.
Only for a select few.

here's an example of how small those sprites are on a spritesheet. the original size is 28x28 px, and I blew it up by about 2000% to get the nice big sun I needed for a crispy gif.

I haven't really messed around with spriting in a long time so this was fun to do! i don't understand shading ;_;

maybe one day i'll have a full battle spritesheet...!

For those asking, a small breakdown:
There are 6 "keyframe" meshes toggled on and off like a 3d spritesheet.
The shader on these meshes is rounding the vertex positions to different gridsize for each frame, also an offset of the mesh can be done here.

fun fact about this is this isn't done dynamically like you'd probably assume, there's just a bunch of squished sprites in the spritesheet. i actually didn't know what they were for until i saw this animation for the first time just now

There's a special kind of "Oh, fuck me" when you're almost done with a sprite before realizing it's wildly out of scale with the rest of the spritesheet.
Have accidentally amazonian bun. Take good care of her.

PNG swap is harder because you sorta have to align everything yourself and redraw certain things, and each character has different amount of animations. Boyfriend swap would be harder than, the spooky boys swap.

Boyfriend spritesheet, and spooky boy spritesheet.

Added some detail to the Umbra's spritesheet. It's incredible how much difference a few pixels make.

Hey, thanks!
I've got a custom system that stores the map data directly in slices on the spritesheet. Each pixel color corresponds to 1 of 16 blocks (top row).
The whole thing is drawn back to front, with the layers offset to simulate a rotation effect. So yes, it uses z-sorting.
