Tylosaurus nepaeolicus is the middle child of tylosaur #mosasaurs from the Smoky Hill Chalk of Kansas. It is middle in body size, stratigraphic distribution, and phylogenetic placement - sandwiched between T. prorigor (big boi) and T. kansasensis.
