Yeah I think I remember that too, Swatbots in SatAM kinda felt like they were portrayed in a way that like, Sonic and co. needed to be especially crafty to take these standard footsoldiers down, and I'm like no, Sonic in particular is stronger than that. Look in Archie to compare

Thinking about how Sonic Chronicles actually had Swatbots in it as enemies.
Combined with the obvious Archie inspiration with the echidna stuff, this game literally the closest we got to Archie representation in the games PERIOD.

Bioware really obviously developed this game with basically no input from Sega just liberally put stuff from the comics (or their own versions of it) into the game. Swatbots as enemies, really transparently cribbing from the Dark Legion Penders came up with for villains, etc

Eggman was once Robo-Robotnik. An alternate version of Robotnik from another dimension which also took place several years in the future.. but when he got to Movius prime he impersonated Robotnik.. but.. him and his swatbots looked MUCH more similar to the satam version.

With the Archie Robotnik.. He had a slight different design from Satam Robotnik... and also, Archie Robotnik's Swatbots were also designed differently then the Satam Swatbots.

Coincidence or what? Just noticed how the Sonic the Hedgehog Swatbots from SatAM (and the Archie comics run) look similar to the 80s Horde Troopers from She-Ra.

The EggSWAT form the archie comics. This upgraded model combines the Swatbots and Eggpawns. I'm personally a big fan of this design and would love to see it in game at some point.

Swatbots are defined by their more bulky and armored structure with a large visor directly integrated into their dome head. I suggest either taking another crack at redesigning a Swatbot or just simply not calling it a Swatbot at all.
