A species of non-mammalian therapsid descendant native to hell in my universe hehhe hohohohoho
I wanna expand on hells ecosystem lore and shit but oh the motivation (i am lacking)
I have some really neat ideas but aziza occupies all the braincells nessescary for art
@clarkjosephf Here it is: a speculative flying oviparous therapsid.
The wing membranes are supported by stiff collagen fiber rods. It is crepuscular, and primarily frugivorous.
Although this species' prominent tusks bear a superficial resemblance to Lystrosaurus, the two are not closely… https://t.co/8lXsbYgki4
An amazing and colorful diorama illustrating an environment from the #Belebei Formation from the Middle Permian. It features the very weird therapsid #Estemmenosuchus.

Dueling dinosaurs? Well a dueling therapsid and dinosaur. I cannot wait to get my hands on that extended cut. I’ve heard there was a planned Malta scene with Lystrosaurus and Oviraptor fighting! Can’t believe Oviraptor wasn’t used at all! #JurassicWorldDominion
@Sharkdotexe Clam, you get an underrated boi! Inostrancevia was a sabre-toothed therapsid; part of a transitional group between reptiles and mammals that existed before the dinosaurs came along! This boi was an apex predator, growing up to 11 feet with 6-inch incisors!
Dicynodonts were members of a diverse clade of non-mammalian therapsids. This is Ischigualastia, from Argentina.

First up, Lystrosaurus maccaigi is a non-mammalian Therapsid, which is to say that they belong to the group which hosts the origin of true mammals but they themselves are not directly related to mammals. All non-mammalian Therapsids are extinct. ☠️#2022MMM
Here's a (ti)Gorgonops concept art I made for the new year! Love these therapsids
#paleoart
.@dimetrodoc and colleagues report a brand new synapsid from the latest Carboniferous, which seems to fall right at the therapsid-sphenacodontid split. Evidence for ecomorphological diversity and heterodonty originating very early in the mammal linage

@SuzytheSilkie i remade Mordu from Pixar's brave as a giant therapsid >:D
Some fresh artwork I whipped up for Ali's new Biarmosuchian ontogeny paper (https://t.co/CigDXJfK2T)
Oh how I love therapsids :3
I wanted an organic way of contrasting the simple skulls of the baby biarmosuchians with the knobby adult skulls.
Enjoy!

Daily doodle - my favourite mammals are the mammals that never been, the therapsids. Here's Sauroctonus
Here's a crappy little practice doodle of a sleepy, therapsid-adjacent guy I did as a way of testing the plug-into-the-phone function of my tablet.
Let sleeping Gorgonops lie (unless you wanna get chomped). I’ve been meaning to draw more of these Permian therapsids and today seemed like a good a time as any. #FossilFriday
Morning warmup speedpaint/sketch. Suminia, one of my favorite therapsids. Suminia was a small arboreal anomodontian therapsid (so distantly related to us mammals) that lived during the Late Permian in Europe #paleoart #sciart #synapsids
