A bar-tailed godwits that we tagged in Guinee Bissau is now in the Wadden Sea. Yesterday it has been photographed on the island of Ameland by GertJan Verbeek. This bird made a short stopover near Lisboa before heading to the Netherlands.

For day 7 I could pick a wildcard, so I opted for some lovely long legs & went with Kakī.
A really striking looking bird and one of the worlds most endangered waders.
