( Perez, D’Armata) Was just...perfect comicsing. (That’s a word). Jess Drew was the right amount of grouchy sass, the evil twins were awesome, the pacing, the fun and then that gut punch ending..... Oh and the ART! Those layouts... and just....yeah...

( Miyazawa, Herring) continues to surprise in how good it is. Light and breezy but with some real weight to it, I’m starting to feel for Cindy Moon... The language felt more real than some comics too, like I could really imagine these exchanges happening!

(, Vakueva, ) was another classic. It really caught at the Valkyrie themes of a meditation on death and grief and meaning and life while also being an action filled finale. And Mr Horse (who can’t get the pet by reason of not being a pet)

of the week goes to ( ) I always love seeing ‘normal’ life for our characters and this does it in a very funny way. Plus seeing Carol do what we all do and deal with things very unhealthily was inspiring

( Villa ) was - again - exceptional. In the gigantic madness of Knull, I loved that the core battle here was so different, and shows such a different side to Felicia. Thoughtful and also action filled. Oh and gorgeous.

( Dewey , Scharf) was beautiful and really incredibly sad. The colours were beautiful and the story was just so moving. And no easy answers or resolutions in this issue either. Or - it seems - up to the present day, which just makes it worse.

( Vakueva, ) was every bit as good as I expected - which is saying a lot! It was emotional, heartfelt, mythic in scope. It made me sad and optimistic and really appreciating the pains that make life real.

( Perez, D’Armata) continues to be just Really Good Comics. It’s action packed, slightly weird, funny, emotional and crammed full of plot - tying in to King In Black as well as the main story and wider universe. It’s also insanely good to look at!

(Pacheco, Perez, D’Armata) I loved this. It’s everything Jessica Drew should be. Bad-ass fights - shown brutally and effectively. Real life parent struggles. Incredibly human moments and heart. And of course the DINOSAURS. Dinosaurs. Do you need more?

But absolutely no question, of the week goes to the amazing (if clunkily titled) (, Oliveira, Garcia, Cam Smith, ) The heart, the humour, the art (esp the colours). The story! Both of us were crying at the end...
