271. Sand Bird
After over a century of careful monitoring, the legendary Sand Bird has hatched at last! It keeps seven red coins on its body, while the eighth is at its destination. It's not exactly an enemy, but the way it flaps its wings can make it hard to stand on.
🦝
270. Boss Wiggler
Asleep on top of the Sand Bird's egg is a giant green Wiggler, blocking the sunlight and prolonging the hatch. When knocked off of it, he gets mad and charges after Mario, needing to be sprayed with water-filled plants to calm down.
🦋
268. Cataquack
Flocks of these funny duck creatures roam around the beaches and fling people into the air for fun. Blue ones can be a little nervous, but they mean no harm; red ones are the more agressive ones. They kinda look like the spheres that make up a Wiggler's body🤔
🦝
267. Klamber
Ricco Harbor is full of chain-link fences that are just begging to be climbed, and these robotic relatives of Scuttlebugs do just that! Mario can punch through the holes in the fences to defeat them, and fortunately for him, they can't do it back.
🦋
266. Gooper Blooper
The biggest Blooper in the ocean has broken out of his crates and is ready to ink up the place!
- Songs from squid-themed media
- Songs related to beaches
- Unaffiliated art that pays homage to @pokopakku's PRIZM music tournament (hi poko :] )
🦋
265. Jumping Blooper
These jumping jellyfish can be seen leaping out of the warm water, and they flatten into platforms when sprayed for some reason. But normal Bloopers are squids, not jellyfish… Maybe those are related in the Mario canon? Or maybe we just care too much?
🦝
262. Coo Coo
These star-spangled chickens were native to the island for several centuries, but were brainwashed by Shadow Mario to do his bidding. They hover around in the air, and drop harmful goop from above when they find a target. Just like birds in real life.
🦋
261. Seedy Pod
Never seen a blue Pokey? Well, at least there are blue Pokey Heads. When this variant buries itself, it spurts a round of seeds to hopefully plant them in the surrounding area. Maybe it would be able to grow into a normal Pokey by keeping the seeds to itself?
🦝
260. Petey Piranha
The notorious Piranha Plants grow anywhere you could think of, and this huge mutant is the boss of them all. Thanks to his goop-spewing maw, wing-like leaves, and surprising intelligence, he's among the most ferocious flora in the franchise.

258. Piranhabon
These mud-covered monsters may just seem like basic rolling ball obstacles at first, but rinsing them off will reveal that they're actually giant Piranha Plant heads! Weirdly, even when clean, they keep rolling around and trailing goop like nothing happened.
