80. Hand Traps

Speedrunners' worst enemy. In the deadly depths of Dark Land's map, Mario is forced to cross over this muddy, fiery pit. There's a chance of being pulled into a short but unwelcome level by one of these manual monsters. Tread carefully over their fingers.

001. Moto Bug

Out of respect for Mario's death yesterday, we will no longer catalog his enemies and turn to the Sonic series instead. This basic, bug-like Badnik is the perfect place to start. It usually just drives around slowly, but can fly or take chase if they need to.

Αs the oldest and smartest of the bunch, this crazy-haired Koopaling has plenty of tricks up his sleeve that his siblings don't. His talents include inventing gadgets such as Mechakoopas, and composing music, such as a few of the castle themes.

078. Spiny Cheep Cheep

A more agressive version of Cheep Cheeps has spikes on them to match its attitude. It moves faster than the usual ones,sometimes being able to chase down their prey if they face it. Larger specimens can also act as pufferfish.

077. Lemmy

Lemmy is the smallest and silliest of the seven siblings! He loves throwing his magic balls around, whether attacking or playing, and has mastered his balance when standing on one. He'd prefer to perform in the circus, but he's always happy nonetheless.

076. Nipper Plant

lil baby piranha plants! they kinda just hop around, and instinctively jump at whatever's above them (maybe it's practice for being in a pipe). a specific one of them can spit fireballs. probably ate a fire flower at some point. that's kinda cool

072. Para-Beetle

In the skies of the Mushroom Kingdom, winged Buzzy Beetles fly peaceful and carefree. Their shells have adapted to act as platforms for anything that happens to land on it. With immunities to both fire *and* stomps, who knows what heights they'll reach next?

070. Shoe Goomba

Goombas wanted revenge on Mario for stomping them, so they developed this giant boot-shaped vehicle to turn the tables. While a great idea on paper, all it takes is a jolt from below to bump them out of it. That's probably why they never used it again.

069. Buster Beetle

…was just mad at Iggy for making one too many jokes about its number. Anyway, this bipedal breed of Buzzy Beetles can lift frozen Brick Blocks and lob them at anything they can find. If there's no block nearby, their speed can be threatning on its own.

068. Iggy

Iggy Koopa is always hyperactive, and moves around quickly because of it. Being the middle child out of seven must have driven him a bit up the wall, but at least he has a therapy Chomp in some games. Sorry I couldnt get a good picture… what's scaring him so much?
