The release date for the new animated film from Netflix, Over the Moon has finally been revealed. The film will be released on October 23. Given how gorgeous the animation is and the fact it's from Glen Keane, I cannot wait for this film!

I always loved this drawing Marc Davis did of the Snow Queen for a scrapped Disney Word attraction in the 1970s called the Enchanted Ice Palace. Davis was simply a master artist and his work here is gorgeous. It kind of looks like his own take on Elsa from Frozen.

The posters that Drew Struzan did for some animated movies are works of art.

I always adored the art design of Maurice Noble. He was responsibe for the watercolor look of Snow White, the look of Chuck Jones shorts, and even a few Dr. Seuss specials. He even was a consultant on Lilo and Stitch for the film's watercolor look. He was a brilliant artist.

I just watched Anastasia for the first time last night. It's far from perfect, but I really enjoyed it. The traditional animation was gorgeous, I liked the characters, the songs were nice, and the voice talent was excellent. It's one of Don Bluth's best films. I recommend it.

If there was a title sequence artist whose work could rival Saul Bass, it's Maurice Binder. I love his work from films like Charade, After the Fox, The Mouse That Roared, and of course the James Bond films. His work is simply superb.

Kay Neilsen's art of The Night on Bald Mountain from Fantasia is so hauntingly gorgeous. It's so dark and detailed.

Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino have left the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender remake series made for Netflix. Honestly, I don't think Avatar should be remade again in live-action. The original animated series is a masterpeice and a remake won't even come close.
