It's been announced that Sony Pictures Animation is working on a new animated series based on Ghostbusters for Netflix. Cool to see another animated series based on Ghostbusters and I hope it works out knowing how shaky this franchise has been.

I still can't get over how gorgeous the Rhapsody in Blue segment in Fantasia 2000 is. Due to its elaborate style in tributing Al Hirschfeld, it actually took a long time to render on Disney's ink and paint software CAPS and even delayed work on Tarzan from finishing.

Sony Pictures Animation has announced they'll be premiering their two shows, Young Love and Agent King at the Annecy Animation Festival in June. I am pumped to see what they have for these two shows! Can't wait!

I think what really hurts about Netflix cancelling the animated film With Kind Regards From Kindergarten is that the film was actually a film they rescued from 20th Century Fox Animation when Disney bought the studio. That seriously is infuriating.

Everyone is talking about how the concept art of Elemental looks like that old Flash game Fireboy and Watergirl yet first thing that came to mind when I saw it was Osmosis Jones. It's probably because Tony Fucile who I think drew this art was a lead animator on Osmosis Jones.

StudioCanal released some stills from the sequel to Ernest & Celestine called Ernest & Celestine 2: A Trip to Gibberitia that'll be out in France this December. The film looks so gorgeous and still has the watercolor charm of the first film and I cannot wait to see it!

I found some storyboards from a scrapped Hansel and Gretel film Disney Animation was working on in the 60s. Interestingly, the Sherman Brothers were writing songs for the film with one song entitled "Chin Up" later being saved and used for Charlotte's Web in 1973.

The two pieces of concept art Laika released for their upcoming films Wildwood and The Night Gardener seriously have me pumped. I cannot wait to see these films once they come out and I hope Laika gets a good distributor to release them because I want to see them do well.
