Yet again, Activision come up with the goods with another fantastically playable game. Highly original, lovely graphics, cute tunes, superb, fun gameplay and loads of lasting appeal, Park Patrol is an absolute gem.
My favourite games of 1984 – No.15
Pastfinder
A vertically scrolling exploration-shooter, Pastfinder is another ace early Activision game. Highly original & requiring strategy as well as zapping, it has much more depth than most blasters. A fantastic thinking man’s shoot 'em up
My favourite games of 1984 – No.19
Bozo’s Night Out
Get bladdered Bozo safely home from the pub, avoiding skinheads, coppers & grumpy grannies. Funny & very playable, it’s a wonderfully original piece of 80s Britsoft, the likes of which will probably never be made again.
My fave games of 1983 – No.2
Forbidden Forest - Cosmi
The first survival horror game, Forbidden Forest was genuinely scary in '83. Weird, creepy visuals, loads of blood, an eerie soundtrack & a pitch-black mood. It's a cross between a game & a nightmare. Unforgettable & brilliant
