Alita Battle Angel is based on a 1990 Japanese manga that is now on volume 33. Alita’s saga has a cast of over 100 characters & has several good story arcs. On Oct 30th movie theaters will be showing episode 1 of what will be a major, long-running film franchise. @doc_ido

@Tamquam_Leo Correct. The major film studios aren't releasing any big-budget movies in October. Wonder Woman 1984 moved to December & No Time to Die moved to April 2021. Theaters have no big draw movies, so they gladly decided to show Alita, which is a big-budget film with a fanbase.
A great movie is one you can see again & again. Alita: Battle Angel has an inspiring plot, intelligent dialogue, strong characterization of Alita, good acting, good action, an excellent soundtrack & dazzling visuals. Go see Alita again in theaters on Oct 30th. @doc_ido
It appears that Cinemark will have 14 showings of Alita on the 10/30 weekend, with AMC having just 1 a day, & Marcus & Harkins having 12 showings. A guess is that 27,000 Alita tickets will be sold, a box office of $136K. Also, Alita is on Cinemax tonight at 5:55PM. @doc_ido
