A lot of piracy talk. I’ve never pirated a comic. It seems to me that comics have been chasing and pandering to a kind of “new audience” the last few years. They found it. They’re pirates. Meanwhile many old customers are leaving. Make comics for them again.

The AoC minis lacked the flavor and tone of the Hyborian setting. It was bland YA fantasy with too many modern colloquialisms and vernacular. The characters didn’t match the setting. Dark Agnes is from 16th century France. Get a feel for REH’s language and write her in context.

Being unfamiliar with his work, I went looking for samples of new CONAN THE BARBARIAN artist Rogê Antônio’s work to get an idea of what to expect as we’ve seen no interior art previews for issue #13 (Feb. 2020!) yet. Looks like the Cimmerian should be in capable hands!
