Conan deals with a Stormbringer like cursed sword. Will his iron will overcome the blade’s dark sorcery? A solid story by Jim Zub that both continues and advances the current narrative. The guest art felt a bit “filler issue” though. Looking forward to the new regular artist.

This comic is incredible. An old familiar Howard yarn is made completely fresh and suspenseful with gritty, sexy art in this adaptation from Robin Recht and @AblazePub.

Take the plot of one of your favorite Westerns and turn it into a Conan story. I’ll start. TRUE GRIT-at an Aquilonian fort near the border of the Pict Wilderness, a young girl hires Conan to take her into the wild and help her track down her father’s killer.

Conan’s roots are in prose writing. As such, I feel that a Conan comic should have a healthy amount of text boxes. A Conan comic should rarely be sparse on words like a lot of modern comics. A Conan comic should have some meat and be a reading experience with eye popping visuals.

While Conan comics are my jam, I enjoy about any well written character in the Marvel and DC stables, but a few are of greater interest to me such as Daredevil, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Superman, and the Punisher. I’m not crazy about team books. I tend to prefer solo heroes.
