No wonder Disney bypassed theaters with this. My household couldn’t even finish it. Talk about a concept not knowing what it wants to be. Are you a 12 year old Iron Man? Harry Potter? James Bond? Pick a theme! It’s based on some YA novels, right? No idea if they’re any better.

A much better read than the comic itself is the Bêlit story “Bone Whispers” by Michael A. Stackpole that ran through AGE OF CONAN: BÊLIT issues 1-5.

Anybody else have a copy of this nifty tome?

@VanTammen Start with the 1st volume of the current run. It is literally everything you need to know and the perfect jumping on point even if you’ve never read a single thing about Hawkman and go from there.

I’m reasonably confident that I will never get to write any kind of “official” Conan story, but if I could, it would probably have the vibe of this piece by Charles Keegan. I love Conan in snowy, mist shrouded hills and mountains.
