happy #Sonic30th, Mick McMahon's SONIC THE COMIC art remains undefeated
INSIDE (2021)
Dir.: Bo Burnham

produced by Netflix
Today I read Mathilde van Gheluwe’s FUNKY TOWN, published by PEOW, which was an offbeat delight. It’s a fever dream stacked upon fever dream, disorienting in the most charming way possible, with excellent slightly-surreal art. Really glad I picked this one up; it is a joy.
Finally read the first two chapters of this season of LAVENDER JACK (available for free on Webtoon), and this comic still does not miss a beat. It’s a charming, fun thrill of a thing that I really can just read for years and years. You should read it if you enjoy fun.
Emily Carroll’s THROUGH THE WOODS is one of those books I’ve wanted to read for years, and it really did not disappoint. Intense, haunting, and masterfully realized—the sort of book that feels familiar on an archetypal level, like the first nightmare you ever had. I loved it.
a good time to remind everyone of the best piece of street art I have ever seen, somewhere in Seattle (with thanks to @JazzlynStone for thinking of me when she saw it) https://t.co/v1ZHZtgDVX
as usual, happy star wars day to Jaxxon, the only good star war
I rather admired UPGRADE SOUL. I’d been hearing lots of good things about it for a couple of years now, yet nothing prepared me to quite how resonant and stunning it is. An immense emotional range and astoundingly high ambitions, beautifully rendered and realized. Just brilliant.
Someone in a local group posted a copy of GREEN LANTERN: WILLWORLD for sale, and I already have a copy but it reminded me of how absolutely stunning and delightful this book is. Just bursting with wild, whimsical imagination.. Seth Fisher really was singularly brilliant.
