The last Quindrie Press book I read was Jem Milton and @evegwood’s THE NIGHTINGALE AND THE ROSE, which was really a delightful little comic. I wasn’t familiar with the original short story, but this adaptation was sweet and lovely and just a joy to read.

GIRL TOWN is pretty much a perfect collection of stories, and the only thing wilder than how good every single story is is the fact that it's been four years and Casey's work has only gotten better. God, this book rules and Casey rules; sincerely one of the best cartoonists.

I just finished reading gg’s CONSTANTLY, which @AvivaMaiArtzy turned me onto earlier this year, and, uh, holy wow, this book is stunning. A really gorgeous little graphic poem that speaks in whispers but hits like razors. Some thoroughly impressive comic-making on display.

speaking of pretty comics, I read SGT. ROCK last night but was too tired to properly tweet about it, and, boy howdy, that Joe Kubert (age 80 at the time) sure could draw the living heck out of a comic book

having read all six volumes of SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING this week, I can confirm that this book is in fact (hot take incoming) real good

Today I read Mathilde van Gheluwe’s FUNKY TOWN, published by PEOW, which was an offbeat delight. It’s a fever dream stacked upon fever dream, disorienting in the most charming way possible, with excellent slightly-surreal art. Really glad I picked this one up; it is a joy.
