People have recently been invited to list their comfort films. It got me thinking about the rarer question of comfort books. What books repeatedly bring you comfort? Mine are all childhood faves: SALEM'S LOT, NIGHT SHIFT, NIGHTMARE MOVIES and THE ZOMBIES THAT ATE PITTSBURGH.
Happy birthday to the great Isadore "Friz" Freleng. The legendary animator, director, composer and author was born on this day in 1906, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away due to a heart ailment at his home in Los Angeles on May 26, 1995, aged 88.
