#171 Penthesilea
Contrary to popular belief, Penthesilea does not actually appear in The Iliad. She appeared in the now-lost epic Aethiopis, of which only five lines still exist to this day, and later sources. However, she was very popular and can be found in ancient art.
I had wanted to work on the comic while at the airport but naturally there are too many children around and I need to draw gore
So I tried something new coloringwise #MonsterCafe
May you be content and plump this coming year #MonsterCafe
#167 Sesshouin Kiara
While Kiara’s status as a villain is well-known at this point, those familiar with nuns would recognize instantly she is far from a proper nun. Her outfit is entirely wrong, and should cover her entire body, indicating she is not what she seems.
#166 BB
Love her or hate her, that’s just BB for you! The almighty AI went through several renditions before settling on her iconic form. “BB” stands for ‘Black Blossom’, continuing the flower theme.
There is also a scrapped boss known as BBB, a Servant-annihilating robot.
#165 Suzuka-gozen
A popular figure in myth, depending on the story her origins vary. In some she is a thief, an oni or even a celestial maiden. While she first appears around the year 1100, it wasn’t until the 1300s that she started to be associated with Sakanoue no Tamuramaro.
#164 Passionlip
Much like her ‘sister’, Passionlip has had a lot of character development and is a fan favorite. Like all of the Sakura Five and their namesake, her name comes from flowers: the Passion flower & the tulip, with her massive claws resembling the passion flower.
#163 Meltryllis
Originally from Fate/Extra CCC, Melt has undergone a lot of character development and has since become a fan favorite. Her name was originally romanized as “Meltlilith” but as her name comes from “Melt Virus” and the amaryllis flower, it should be “Meltryllis”
#162 Chacha (Yodo-dono)
Much of Chacha’s power came from the fact that she could conceive children, as opposed to Hideyoshi’s wife. She was active in politics and orchestrated much of the anti-Tokugawa sentiment. She arranged a peace treaty to end the siege of Osaka Castle.
#161 Hijikata Toshizo
One of the most famous historical figures in all of Japan, if a place has some connection to Hijikata you’d better believe they’re advertising it. A real life mega big sexy, Hijikata had ladies and some men falling all over him. (Way, WAY more in alt text!)
