Pikachu's Belly:
In some of his earliest official artwork, Pikachu is depicted as having a white belly. His sprites from Red, Green, and Blue reflect this early design as well. But by the time Gen 1 came to a close, the belly had disappeared and Pikachu's body was solid yellow.
(2/4) Details about White Pichu were first revealed by Shōko Nakagawa in her 2013 autobiography. Shōko is best known as the host of Pokemon Sunday, and she's also Spiky-eared Pichu's voice actress in the Japanese anime. Shōko's even revealed White Pichu's official concept art.

In Gold & Silver's 1999 demo, Sentret's design was identical to its final design, but Furret was quite different -- a pink thin Pokemon with a different tail and belly pattern.

Beta Carnivine:
The recent Gen 4 beta leak contained a Carnivine beta sprite so simplistic, it was clearly intended to get rebuilt before release... that said, what if it WAS the final design?
