Beta Celebi:

In Gold & Silver's 1999 demo, Celebi had a Native American motif, was Normal instead of Grass/Psychic, and classified as the "Plant Pokemon" instead of the "Time Travel Pokemon."

Legendary Origins:

I recently wrote a video covering Lugia's development history: https://t.co/dE8aQzWfan

I'm thinkin about doing one more origin story based on some leaks and Japanese interviews I found recently. Which would you rather see -- Mew's origin story, or Celebi's?

Beta Escavalier:

According to Sugimori, Escavalier's original design wore armor -- but his team scrapped it when they came up with the idea of stealing Shelmet's shell. Unfortunately, he never showed that design... so we can only speculate. made this wild guess :)

Lost Pokemon of the Week:

First revealed when Gold & Silver's 1997 demo leaked in 2018, Rinrin and Berurun were a bell-themed family of Dark-type felines... but unfortunately, they didn't end up making Gen 2's final cut.
