Gen's drawing of Senku here was probably inspired by very early chapter cover images. I don't know why else he'd be holding an exploding container.

The photo manipulation in this image is pretty nice, but the trucks and tent in the background are jarring compared to what the mobile lab looks like.

Ukyo also looks like he's trying to wave you over and hand you a "gift" because of how he's hiding his other hand behind him...

Is this... cannibalism? 😨

But seriously, what a downgrade on the kabob! The metal skewer is pretty nice, but what happened to those huge slabs of meat!

Minami - 6/21 - The day after Riichiro Inagaki's birthday, as well as the summer solstice. It's also Refrigerator Day in Japan, a day to check your fridges before the hot summer arrives.

In Minami's case, to check on Tsukasa...

Ruri - 4/14 - Potentially another ishi/stone reference because of the 14, but it's also the Takayama/Sanno festival wishing for a good harvest. A more modern celebration is Orange Day, where romantic partners from Valentine's and White Day trade orange-colored gifts.

Ginro - 4/7 - The element silver has the atomic number 47, similar to Chrome's birthday being the atomic number for chromium.

5 43

Taiju - 4/2 - Likely the oldest one in Senku's school year because of Japan's birthday/grade division. 4-2 can also be read as "shi-ni" meaning "death",-

Chrome - 2/4 - The element chromium has the atomic number 24. I'm pretty confident this was the inspiration, however it's also a month after Senku's birthday!

Unsurprisingly, the characters drawn here are inspired by real Dragon Quest characters.

Math is the universal language because the symbols may change, but the meanings/axioms cannot. Because of this, the cover of the Golden Record placed on Voyager 1 (the probe leaving our solar system) has instructions written in math in the hopes some future beings can understand.
