Good morning Michael & thanks for the RT this morning. Here's one which I hope you'll like which will also be in our show from 11/09/21-08/01/22. This is "St Mark's Church (from Wick Lane)" by Harold Steggles from 1932.

Good evening Tom & thank you, very belatedly on my part, I'm afraid: I've been finishing off the tiling in our bathroom after a brief shopping trip this morning. Here's the recently restored watercolour sketch of "Poole Harbour" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1934. https://t.co/M9gYu00snX

Good morning Tom & thank you, as always. As you say, I think we all benefit from some traditions in our day to day lives: they can give them some structure. Here's "St Mark's Church" by Harold Steggles from 1932. It will be in our show from 11/09/21 https://t.co/MOuxr15weC

Ah yes, Suzanne: one can but hope. This black & white photo of the 1935 version of "Canvey Island" by Walter Steggles was bought from exhibition by the Earl of Sandwich according to Wally's annotation on the reverse. I have been in touch with his grandson but he didn't know of it

My pleasure, John. The Steggles family lived in Bath, briefly, towards the end of WW1 & Wally had his first art lessons whilst he lived there, which might account for his attraction to the area. Here's another one from that period & style: possibly a view of Bath or Radstock.

I thought I'd start today with one that I haven't shown for a long time. This is "Stoke by Nayland" by Harold Steggles from 1933. It will be in our forthcoming exhibition from 11/09/21 to 08/01/22.

Good morning Jackie & thank you. Yes, that is a lovely painting & a great favourite of mine. Here's one which recently came to light at auction: I hope you'll like it too. This was sold as "River Scene" by Phyllis Bray which I believe dates from c.1933/34. https://t.co/DcFXITGECi

Good evening Janet & thank you. Here's another one with quite an interesting sky. This is "Roundway Down" by Walter Steggles from his post-war work: most likely the late seventies or early to mid eighties. https://t.co/AOHdVMmz2n
