Now Ivy in the new 52 is all over the place, in Bird of Prey she eventually betrays the team, she has villain arcs but I will mention one thing they did try to have their cake and eat with her.
The story end with Ivy alive, but she now is going to look twice at her plants, I like this story a lot because it captures a good mood and Ivy like I said has always been doing shit like this. But I get why some people hate it.
The storyline did get finished Ivy does the right thing and let's the park and orphans go so they can be taken care of. But after this Ivy more or less go back to her classic self.
Like I get Ivy can be sympathetic but she still show to be shady, evil and kind of fucked up in other comics and it always kind of felt that editorial didn't want her to go good anyway.
No man's land was a crossover event that had a effect on all batman books and led to a bit of reboot of the line with new creators coming in, Gotham gets a Earthquake so bad, that The US government say's it fucked and on it's own and Batman has to save it.
Okay Ivy does betray him because frankly he's weird and so she uses her power to have Batman fight him!
Ivy would get a backup story showing she still Wants Bruce above all else....
Ivy just become second fiddle to her and I get Harley is popular but this is just an issue I have....I just want them to stop being not fun to read about.
They argue they bicker, it's fun, like whatever else I say here I can why people like this ship but I hate people write them without the subtext because it's just less fun. Ivy just often stops being a character.
