Great vis dev designs by current FZD term 3 student, Horia Andrei. Love the theme and the overall form languages. His project is based on the book, The Ghost King.
Beautiful vis dev work by our term 3 student, Candice Slater. Love all the well researched details, especially those props inside the display case. It's been great witnessing her skills transforming from student to semi-pro. Keep up the good work Candice!
This gorgeous set of designs is by FZD term 3 student, Gabriel Loo-Carre. His work has great form languages balanced with story driven details. Nice work! Looking forward to seeing next project.
We recently brought back this fun project at FZD. The "Creature Life Cycle" assignment challenges students to design a believable life form, from egg/baby to adult. This creature must inhabit a natural environment and have proper survival adaptations (can't just be a monster).
Some cool 3/4 cutaway designs from our current term 2 students. The goal is to design a bedroom and a workshop room matching the job role of the character (visual story telling through set dressing). Fun stuff.
Still one of my favorite set of designs by FZD grad Elle Shengxuan Shi. This is during the early days of our school (I think circa 2012 or so). Elle currently works at Pearl Studios (formally DreamWorks Shanghai).
The Traveling Merchant is an early assignment to teach students on how to combine functionality with entertainment design. The goal is to design two modes: traveling and deployed mode. I love the inflated dragon as a hot air ballon!
A few additional designs. Good work everyone! To see more examples (thousands!), please visit our website.
Saw @rchurchdesign post his work on the LOTR, Battle for Middle Earth, game we did for EA back in the days. Here are some of my contributions. I literally drew hundreds of designs for this while simultaneously working on their C&C and Red Alert games. Ah, the mid 2000s, fun times
