“Americana”, signed “Yves Tanguy, 1939” is in fact by Spanish Surrealist Óscar Domínguez and is said to have been painted c.1943. Domínguez was among a group of Surrealists in Paris selling works with each other’s signatures, perhaps in part to fund the French Resistance.

Das Kleine Grosz Museum, Berlin opens in a converted 1950s gas station in the area where he was born and died. He was well known for caricatures reflecting on society and was associated with #Dada and New Objectivity.
French artist Jean-Paul Albinet passed away aged 67 May 4 due to cancer
Born in Albi, Albinet was best known for co-founding a group of artists known as UNTEL (influenced by Fluxus and May 1968) in 1975 with Philippe Cazal and Alain Snyers.
