They are, in fact, both by James Ensor! “Grounded Boats” is an early work by the Belgian artist, painted in 1880, in his hometown Ostend. It is estimated at €60,000/80,000 at Lannon & Associés.

London’s @NationalGallery have reidentified its first ever Nicolas Poussin acquisition, long believed to be a copy, as an original!

The Triumph of Silenus (ca. 1637) will feature in the upcoming exhibition “Poussin and Dance”, set to open in October.
