The contrast between these two lol

Recent official renders were really scuffed so I'm making some new ones that are more in style and on model. I'll start with Jotaro and Kakyoin and if it does well I'll do other pairs from the promotional art later on

This is also how you develop your own artstyle. It all is just one big web of artists mixing together elements from art they love, slowly building their own identity.

It's also important to refrence as many artists as possible. Relying on copying only one artist may lead you to adapt their weaknesses aswell. Worst case scenario is you learning bad habits which may be hard to fix later on.

They're great for not just refrence of techniques or colors but also for their subject matter. I like to call it brain food, it's source of inspiration.

When you start to approach art more seriously, you begin to research artists whose techniques and sense of style match with what you like/go for. One of best things I've done was create a refrence folder for artworks like these.
