Following them eventually brings us to the cave from PoDD (I think?), where Chiyuri and Yumemi who I guess are on their side. Do they just live in this cave?
Beating Patchouli gives us info. The Goblin Queen apparently came from another world. There have been hofgoblin sightings in the forest near Youkai Mountain, so we go there and fight Nitori and Kasen. Nitori was hypnotized, but Kasen just joined in because it looked like fun.
If we were playing EoSD, Patchouli would be next... but instead, we skip her and fight Sakuya, followed by a battle against both Remilia and Flandre.
Alice was my first major roadblock, but a few familiar dolls and the same MGS reference I saw in Moyashi later, I finally got her. Meiiden really would have benefited from attribute markers on attacks so you know what's hitting you.
And no, I don't know why Armstrong is here.
The man introduces himself as... it's a made-up fantasy name with no predetermined English spelling, so let's go with "Spiado." He's a hired assassin here to kill Reimu and the others. He warns that there will be others and suggests grouping up with her allies quick.
Letty clears up my earlier concern - apparently her and Cirno will just count as one person. Wait, no, I'm still confused. Alice suggests using either IaMP or PoFV rules, but everyone agrees that they don't need ANY rules, nor a time or place.
Reimu says that even with Alice, it'd be an unfair 3v4. Alice insists that she's only a spectator - but that she's called some suitable allies for the protagonist side, and China and Udonge make their entrances!
Everyone arrives at the same time and declares that they want to be the protagonist. Medicine asks how they're going to fight - 1v1 like usual, or 2v4 (Reimu+Marisa against Cirno, Youmu, Sakuya, and herself). Why's Letty here again...?
We return to the shrine group. Alice explains that Cirno isn't the only one coming - Youmu, Sakuya, and that one doll youkai from PoFV that I just can't seem to remember the name of will be showing up as well. Turns out they ALL want the protagonist role.
